Singapore Big Four law firm Rajah & Tann has expanded its commercial litigation team after welcoming Paras Lalwani (L) and Reka Mohan as partners from Bayfront Law, Nishimura & Asahi’s Singapore alliance firm.
Formerly a director and the head of international arbitration at Bayfront Law, Lalwani specialises in commercial disputes, international arbitration, and regulatory investigations, regularly appearing before Singapore courts and arbitral tribunals in both institutional and ad hoc proceedings.
Lalwani joined Bayfront in 2023. Prior to that, he was a director at Drew & Napier and a partner at Dentons Rodyk, and also worked at K&L Gates. In 2022, he was named as one of the ALB Singapore Rising Stars.
Meanwhile, Mohan was a senior associate at Bayfront Law. Her practice encompasses banking and finance disputes, corporate and commercial litigation, domestic and international arbitration, restructuring and insolvency, and shareholder disputes. She represents listed companies, multinational corporations, regional and international banks, and high-net-worth individuals in complex, high-value, multijurisdictional matters.
Before joining Bayfront, Mohan worked at Morgan Lewis Stamford, Norton Rose Fulbright, and WongPartnership.
“As client needs grow increasingly complex, we are delighted to have Paras and Reka – both excellent and well-regarded disputes specialists – bring their considerable experience to add to the firm’s dispute resolution strengths,” said Ng Kim Beng, managing partner of Rajah & Tann Singapore, in a statement.
Adrian Wong, head of dispute resolution, added: “The arrival of Paras adds new energy, insight, and proven experience to our firm’s dispute resolution bench – this is all aimed at delivering even greater value to our clients in a fast-changing world.”
Rajah & Tann, which has one of the largest dispute resolution teams in Singapore, has seen partner movements this year. Max Lim joined Penningtons Manches Cooper, while Davis Tan moved to Incisive Law.
